The International Council on National Youth Policy addresses itself to all States in the world, which are primarily responsible for national youth policy 7fc5fccdd6design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. In its activities, ICNYP works with all stakeholders, including young men and women, NGOs, notably youth NGOs, governments, parliaments, inter-governmental organizations, bilateral organizations and the United Nations System.

As a prominent leader in national youth policies, ICNYP is the only existing highly profiled international organization to specialize in this area with an operational approach. ICNYP continuously monitors developments in the field making this information available to members and partners. The quality of our services is recognized by major youth related organizations of the UN system (UNICEF, UNDP, etc…) and we are listed as a resource on the UN Programme on Youth.

In the recent past, ICNYP has assisted governments and NGOs in various countries such as Bahrain, Brazil, Haiti, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Palestine Territories, Qatar, Somalia and Yemen.

We provide the following services:

 

  1. Collect all relevant information and documentation on national youth policies, with an emphasis on best practices.
  2. Provide capacity training in youth policy development for all stakeholders, including representatives of governmental, parliamentarians, inter-governmental and non governmental organisations.
  3. Provide technical advisory services on issues related to national youth policy. ICNYP advisory services:

    a. Give due attention to all phases of the youth policy development process (design, promotion, implementation,
    monitoring/ evaluation and possible re-direction).

    b. Individualize strategies that are culturally sensitive and responsive to the region’s needs

    c. Incorporate local wisdom and participation at all stages, promoting sustainability.

    d. Provide clear methodology and time frames at each step in the process.

    e. Use a proven “best practice” process when possible, of pairing senior consultants with junior consultant who educate young stakeholders and bring life to the spirit of the policy.



  4. Conduct seminars, workshops and other events aimed at developing dialogue on national youth policy concepts and processes among policy makers, researchers, and young people.
  5. Engage in collaborative activities with organisations sharing similar objectives.
